There are times when life is completely perfect and I think nothing more of it; but there are also times when I think. Sitting on a chair, thinking about life... How could it have been different? Let me tell you a story.
It was a very sunny day the day that I first saw my father. It was so sunny in fact that I was blinded by the sun's rays. I lost my sight that day.
But I coped with life. I didn't have very many friends for they were wary of me. They kept their distance like I was a plague. They kept their distance, alright. I could tell because when I stuck my tongue out and swung it 360°, it didn't touch anyone. And my tongue is long. Trust me.
So I lived. I lived my forlorn, meaningless life. I lived just because.
It was only until recently that it all came to me- the meaning of life.
I was hopping along the pond, trying, pretending to have a ball when I lost my balance on a rock which sent me catapulting into the water.
I was in the water for quite some time. Thank god I did. Because I had an epiphany. Had I gotten out of the water a moment earlier, that very big juicy fly wouldn't have been hovering above me.
You see, I reached the surface of the water and in a panic, let loose my tongue and swung it till it had something to latch onto. In this case, it was the fly.
The fly was humongous and I'm not even lying. My tongue grabbed hold of its eyes and legs and it still had the power to lift me up into the air and onto land. I didn't let go of my game, of course.
I hopped and hopped and the nearer I hopped home, the more gasps I heard. People were surprised at the size of my catch, I suppose. I thought nothing of it. Before I reached home though, I heard one froglet exclaim 'it's a dragoon, mummy!'. That was enough to make my whole being swell with pride.
Unfortunately though, I wasn't able to show my mother my catch. My stomach started to rumble and the magnitude of it was as if it had a massive tantrum. So, I ate it.
Oh how divine! The taste, to put it into words, is impossible. It was nothing like I've ever eaten in my life. That is when I had the epiphany; my life calling. I should also add that that was my perfect moment.
Anywhos... Back to my life calling. It was in F&B.
